Even if someone has a professional, differentiated website, if there are only a few Google results that person could be dismissed as not being a credible expert.A Web identity must present an individual or a business, as it wants to be known.

This webinar discusses the process to start building your online identity.

Branding is more than a trend in the business world. A brand represents many intangible aspects of a product or service. A brand is a collection of feelings and perceptions about the quality, value, image, and condition of the product or service. Branding creates the idea that there is no product or service like yours. A brand offers the client a guarantee and sets out your value proposition. This workshop will show you how to create a solid and distinctive brand to communicate what makes your translation business unique and to develop a branding strategy that can be implemented right away.

The translation industry is, unfortunately, becoming a commodity in the marketplace. As newcomers enter the competitive arena, we professional translators are finding it more difficult to get paid what we deserve for our hard work. Our clients are pushing our rates down, and we\’re finding it harder and harder to say "no, thank you." Instead, we are becoming "price takers."

How can we stop this insanity? Easy. By becoming "price makers." Becoming a price maker is all about "perceived value." It requires your building a name for yourself and your translation practice so you can stand out from the crowd. It\’s avoiding direct competition while you increase your credibility and visibility. And social media is here to serve that purpose. Learn how to use social media to become a "price maker" of your translation business and not a "price taker".
