Ray Reyes is the President and CEO of Latitudes, Inc. Mr. Reyes is an accomplished executive, with extensive experience in the Localization and Translation space, where he has developed corporate and sales strategies, built sales teams, developed and implemented new product launches and increased market share – but his core area of expertise is developing sales strategies and building sales teams that lead to sustained growth and success. In his role as President and CEO Ray’s focus is on growing Latitudes to be a globally recognized leader in providing solutions for Language Service Providers (LSP’s) on how to develop effective sales strategies that will facilitate growth and success.

Being a true entrepreneur Ray’s passion is working with small to medium size LSP’s. In a recent interview at Latitudes Atlanta office Reyes was quoted saying: “I’ve been there, I understand the frustrations that small to medium size LSP’s experience. So many LSP’s don’t have a solid corporate strategy, let alone a real sales strategy, and very few adopt a sales methodology that focuses on their core strengths and value proposition. Many LSP leaders are former linguists, and unfortunately the training and experience that makes a good translator or interpreter doesn’t always make the best executives or sales managers. What we do at Latitudes is provide the training, coaching and consulting services that assist small to medium size LSP’s be more effective. We work with their executive team to update their corporate strategy. We bring in their sales managers to help them create a strong sales strategy that is inline with that corporate strategy. Then we provide the sales training that will give them a defined sales methodology that will be their roadmap to success.” Previous experience and leadership Prior to entering into the Language Services industry Ray spent 5 years in the technology sector, in both senior management and regional roles. Before engaging the technology industry Ray was the founder and CEO of Southern Energy Management, a multi-million dollar regional consulting and demand side management (DSM) contractor that focused on DSM programs for Georgia Power and the Tampa Electric Company. Ray began his professional career on Wall Street where he was a financial advisor and stockbroker for Morgan Stanley and Stuart James and Company in Chicago.

Ray in an addition to being an expert in the translation, localization and globalization , is also a proficient speaker and author. Most notably Reyes has been a guest speaker at the Princeton Club for the Federal Deposit Insurance Company (FDIC) on “How Small Banks can develop marketing models to reach the growing Spanish speaking banking customer” and authored “Bridging the digital divide”, which was published by Mercer University and Onda Tecnológica magazine. Ray has also worked with the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to provide free training and consulting to Hispanic owned businesses in the Atlanta area. Ray has been a member of the American Red Cross Emergency Response Team, a board member for MirAmerica, Inc and past board member for The International Family Center in Atlanta (provider of educational services to prevent domestic violence in the Atlanta Hispanic community). Reyes attended the University of Georgia, where he majored in marketing, with a minor in Finance, and Shorter Universities MBA program. Ray is currently enrolled at Harvard Business Schools Executive Education Program with a focus on Aligning Strategy and Sales. Ray is bi-lingual (conversational Spanish), coaches little league baseball, Pee Wee football, and is an avid golfer and skydiver. Ray currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
